Appearance
Adult: 2mm in diameter with a distinct exuviations (cast-off skin). Crawlers have well developed legs and antennae. Males are winged; females wingless.
Life Cycle
Adult females may live for several months.
Notes
A polyphagous sucking pest, attacks several cultivated plants. Settles in large numbers on stems, branches, leaves and fruits. Plants attacked in the early stages become stunted and gradually dry up. Crawlers move about for a short time before settling down and cover themselves with a waxy secretion.
