Appearance
Adult moth: Medium sized moth having white transparent wings with big brown marginal patches, female has tuft of orange coloured hairs at its anal end; Larvae: elongate , bright green with two narrow ends, white longitudinal stripes dorsally.
Notes
Larvae scrape the chlorophyll and folds and webs the leaves and feeds within. It also feeds on flowers and bores into developing fruits. It is the most serious pest on gherkins in India.
