Appearance
Adult: Dark weevil; Grubs: Apodous, yellowish white with red head
Life Cycle
Eggs laid in the root stock or leaf sheath just above ground level.
Notes
Grubs bore into the rhizome and cause death of the plant, presence of dark coloured tunnels in rhizome, death of unopened pipe, withering of outer leaves.
